The story behind

Behind every face, there is a story. A story that sometimes requires action. I invite you  to „Hashtag Take A Look“.
Collectively, we can make
a contribution for a better world. A world in which we care for each other and
for our planet.

reveal the #look

Every face we encounter tells a unique tale, filled with experiences, dreams, and challenges. Behind each smile lies a journey marked by both joy and sorrow, often unseen by the casual observer.
The wrinkles etched around the eyes may speak of laughter shared and moments cherished, while shadows may hint at struggles faced in silence.

Each face reflects a rich tapestry of culture, background, and personal history, reminding us of our shared humanity. In a world that often rushes by, taking a moment to connect can reveal the profound stories that lie beneath the surface.

Every encounter is an opportunity to discover the depth of a person’s journey. By recognizing the stories behind the faces we see, we honor the diverse tapestry of life that surrounds us. In every face, there is a world waiting to be understood and appreciated.

China exhibition

This exhibition invited 18 Chinese artists and 35 German artists to participate in the exhibition, presenting hundreds of works of Chinese and German contemporary artists. The exhibition aims to show the different cultural elements and common artistic pursuits of China and Germany by bringing together contemporary artists from China and Germany on the same stage with their own artistic forms and expression techniques.

Kunstraum Villa Friede Bonn and Jiangxi Art Museum jointly hold „Dialogue and Symbiosis: Contemporary Art in China and Germany“ at the Jiangxi Art Museum. With an art bond, the exhibition transcends the language barrier and the national boundary, and shows the cultural prosperity of a „combination of Chinese and Western cultures, and harmony among painters“

Next event in Hagen 6th DEC 2024

Uwe Will has held a prominent place in Hagen’s rich tradition of visual artists for decades. His sometimes large-scale, colorful paintings in the style of “imaginary realism” can be found in many public buildings, companies and private homes. But Uwe Will is more than a painter. Just as he does not allow himself to be tied down to one style in his painting, painting abstractly or figuratively, imaginary landscapes as well as concrete portraits (such as the mayor of Hagen since 2004), his work is not limited to canvas or paper. His sculptural oeuvre includes large sculptures that shape the cityscape, for example by Karl Halle or Karl Ernst Osthaus, but also miniatures, such as by Don Quixote or Gandhi. Uwe Will does not fit into any category – and does not want to. His artistic independence is a great asset to him and leads him repeatedly down unconventional paths. One of these is not only having made his studio space available to the young Ukrainian artist Kristina after the outbreak of the Ukraine war, but also having supported her with advice and assistance in her artistic development since then. It is very important to Uwe Will that Kristina’s works are also shown in this exhibition.
